The craziness continues! Luo Yunxi’s consistency in
acting these past few episodes deserve some recognition. Nothing too exciting
happens but his grieving is some next level mental. My eyes were glued onto the
screen the whole 50 minutes. Honestly, I can’t get the idea out of my head that
had this been real life, how scary and morbid this whole scenario would be. Her
corpse definitely would have started to rot by now and would not be good to
look at. Luckily, it’s drama land and we know that definitely would have not
been able to have been shown. The way he dressed her up in the wedding clothes,
kissed her, laid next to her, and then try to burn down the whole place so they
can finally be together. Freaking chills. I’m still feeling a bit creeped out
writing this. That’s how good he portrayed it. *whew*
Even after a brawl, Qingyu tries to mentally knock
some senses back into Tantai Jin. But all he can think about is the one person
who showed him any compassion. π What
a pity that these 2 are having to grieve in such different ways. I have no idea
how Qingyu can manage compared to Tantai Jin. I know Qingyu explains it to Nian
Baiyu why he can’t go crazy even if he also lost his beloved but gahhh damn! Just
look at them:
#1 thing I felt satisfied with in this episode is the
closure for Xiao Lin. For the duration of his time, I was never able
to wrap my head around his love for Bingchang. A lot of people resorted to the
idea that it was because of the love thread but I just knew there was more to
it. He did truly love her and even if I still don’t agree to it, I’m happy to
hear his true feelings. YBC lost herself a good man due to insecurities. She finally
got what she deserved but it wasn’t even satisfying. She got off easy with that
porridge but it’s whatever. I still have to prepare for her to come back in the
Immortal arc. π
Although Tantai Jin’s true intentions were to die
together in the fire with Ye Xiwu, I wasn’t surprised when they didn’t find his
body. With all the craziness, I thought he did that as a set up so he could
take her body away and go be alone with her somewhere else. LMAO. Am I the
crazy one now? π
Maybe not because here comes another idea from Nian Baiyu that really strikes up a
desperate Tantai Jin. The Yiyue tribe that Tantai Jin is originally from,
protects this river that is also a portal to the netherworld river. I swear if
this wasn’t a Xianxia drama anyone hearing me talk about this would think I’m
crazy π. Pang Yizhi was right during the divination. His search for her in the
netherworld goes on for so long 500 years has already passed. Time jump was odd
but who’s really trying to look for logic here? I’m just glad that after all
the creepy thoughts they were nice enough to show us the spirits as colorful
wisps. π€£ And of course, we also see the world is at peace again while
Qingyu is taking over the throne in disguise. Guess that was the easier way to
do things. But man, he lived on for 500 years too? What a long time. Peace won’t
be too long though. Devil Lord’s two side kicks are back and Li Susu is also
returning. Let the immortal arc begin!
