Summary: Gu Sheng, a senior in University, is a passionate music composer who goes by the online name of "Sheng Sheng Man". Her main focus is ancient Chinese music. Although she is unknown in the entertainment circle, she aspires & dreams to work with the well known voice actor, Qing Qing Ci (Mo Qing Cheng). By chance, she unexpectedly encounters Qing Qing Ci's voice in her online chatroom with her friend. Episode 1:
WOW! The opening credit. I was not expecting to
be this captivated just by the 1st second. 😅
Is it just me or does this look of Tan Jianci exude a
radiance of cool but calm.
Hold up! Mo Qing Cheng not only is a well-known voice
actor but a doctor, too?! He’s the whole package. We’re definitely in drama
land. 😂

Episode 2:
How have I not paid attention to Tan Jianci
before?! This man has a wonderful voice. With the way he reads recipes, I’d be
happy to listen every time. It’s only the second episode but I love how smooth
Qiang Qing Ci is. He’s such a subtle cutie. I mean, look at the way he was
laughing & smiling while listening to Gu Sheng sing the silly song. I
cannot stop grinning from ear to ear.
I had no clue Gu Sheng had so many brothers. She’s quite lucky to have a wonderful, loving group of brothers around her. It’s chaotic but a fun chaotic. I can’t wait to see how Qiang Qing Ci will get pass all of them. 🤣

Episode 3:
Dang. I absolutely love how Tan Jianci is naturally
portraying this character. The way he instantly started singing, dubbing a few
lines, and then casually goes back to his regular self is quite impressive. He
gave off such a strong aura capturing his fans then bam! It was already over. Arguably,
one could say it’s because he’s already an actor. But being a voice actor is
completely different than being an on-screen actor/actress. I love that he can
display this personality on top of his true acting self. I mean, look how his
“um’s” instantly had our girl Shengsheng flustered. She completely dropped the
idea of wanting to converse about the netizen/fan issues. LOL.
Qiang Qi Ci: “Don’t be infatuated with a person too
much because of their voice. You will never know who the voice on the other end
belongs to, right?
But I can’t help it! Your voice is just too alluring,
Tan Jianci. Jk! 🤣
I like that they highlighted this early on in the story. This most likely is a
big foreshadow for future episodes. His friend mentions it being ok to like
someone’s voice but be rational about it. Don’t get deceived by someone’s
voice. All good points to make. Ironically, this is how our leads are starting
out. I hope that this point will be addressed in the upcoming episodes. Gu
Sheng, currently still looks at Qiang Qing Ci as her idol. But when their
relationship goes beyond that, I’d like to see how she manages to let that go.
For someone whose never had a girlfriend before, Mo
Qing Cheng sure knows how to casually play his game. With a work connection,
it’s easy to ask her for her We Chat but I was surprised when he asked to call.
It wasn’t even for work purposes. 😳She’s
freaking out and he’s so chill about everything. He talks like they’ve known
each other for months. He even openly declares on Weibo his favorite voice is, “Sheng
Shengman”.
Gu Sheng is so musically talented. She plays an array
of instruments and can sing. That piano piece was beautiful. I just find it
funny how Mo Qing Cheng kept trying to kick out all of the friends who entered
the chat room to listen. 😂

Episode 4:
Forget being hungry every episode. I’m about to fall
asleep in every episode with that voice. I love how calm and rich his voice is
when he reads lines or share recipes. I don’t mean to rave so much about the
voice but it’s so fitting.
They finally met in person!!! The inner fangirl in me
was fanning hard. Haha. It was such a cute interaction. I absolutely adore all
of their friends. ML’s group of friends acted like they were meeting their
sister-in-law for the first time. The constant side eyes at each other and
teasing. They’re going to be our hype team to ship this CP with us. 😂It’s so sweet that they were more excited than Mo Qingcheng. I
really thought he was going to miss the recording. Silly me.
The minute Mo Qing Cheng walked in and glanced over to
Gu Sheng. I melted. It was love at first voice & now, it’s love at first
sight. He looked at her with so much admiration. When Gu Sheng realized he was
in the room, time definitely stood still. I love the set up of this scene. The
cute OST, “Slowly” came on. He casually introduced himself with a warm smile. She
gave a big smile with a faint hello out of shock. I died inside while tearing
up watching this. 🥲 HAHA.
I’m such a mess. Even with people in the room, he managed to still make the
focus on each other without a care about whose around. This is only Episode 4.

Episode 5:
The duet in the recording studio! I know Zhou Ye’s
voice gets dubbed for all of the singing but it felt so real. I loved that he
carefully guided her and made sure she felt comfortable with the song before
recording. The genuine glances they would give each other sent butterflies out
the roof. But really though, the best part was the “impromptu” monologue Mo
Qing Cheng used during the duet. Holy smokes! I was just as shocked as his
friends. I legit started crying. He eloquently presented the lines that painted
a romantic touching moment. I want to petition for the fictional story they’re
dubbing to be real. It was giving “One and Only” vibes. 😭😭
The best part about episode 5 is watching all of their
close friends tease them, ship, & question about their relationship. His
friends know the obvious. Her friends are just starting to learn about it. I
can’t imagine when everyone is on the same page. Haha.
I find it funny that Mo Qing Cheng never denies any of
the accusations his friends pin on him. He just keeps on doing his thing; accompanying
her to school, inviting her to dinner, carrying her heavy bookbag, randomly
singing because she mentioned his singing voice being good. I hope Tan Jianci’s
version gets released! It’s nice to see he’s interested & attempting to
pursue her in a gentle manner.
I guess we could say this is their first unofficial
date. She kindly declined dinner with his friends but they still ended up
eating dinner at the usual spot for his crew. Lol!

Episode 6:
Gu Sheng really tried to hide MQC from the employee who
works in their family convenience store. I love how he willingly complied and
didn’t speak the 2nd time around when he stopped by. 😂
Apparently, everyone but Mo Qing Cheng accidently has valentine’s
dates now. He didn’t even waste anytime asking her to attend the game carnival
together. But of course, being the casual person he is, he sets it for Sunday
(Valentines Day). Our single girl doesn’t even realize until she checks the
calendar again.
It looks like 2nd CP is also gearing up. I
laughed hysterically at Zhou Zheng panicking over the “date” with Gu Sheng’s roommate,
Geng Xiaoxing. They’re meeting up on the same day to sign the contract for the
app they’re collaborating on. Nothing serious just 2 friends meeting up, right?
I can’t wait to see how these 2 will come about lol. It was funny to also see
both of them realize what day Sunday was after agreeing to it. I understand.
Lol Let us join the single club with those who’re spending Valentine’s Day playing
Mahjong. 😅
The game carnival is near MQC’s childhood home. He
parks there for convenience. She’s surprised he’s comfortable bringing her to his
residential area because he doesn’t even share any photos online. But as MQC
says, he indeed wouldn’t let outsiders know. Ya’ll know what that means! 😏😏She’s not no outsider to
him. Smooth MQC. Smooth.

with pig trotters. 🤤
Episode 7:
Title: Is this a date?
To simply answer, yes! Yes, it is girl. We know MQC
sees it as a date. 😅Our
poor girl is out here being awkward and non-stop flustering every time they’re
together. Meanwhile, Mo Qing Cheng’s just enjoying their time and actively
pursuing.
Zhou Zheng is hilarious. He’s the exact same as Gu
Sheng when it comes to thinking about their “dates”.
We get introduced to Ling Long. I’m wondering who she
is because she works alongside him in the hospital. And is an OG in the
traditional music circle. She’s also the one who everyone mentions is the girl
that likes MQC. Hopefully, she won’t be the annoying thorn that gets in the
way.
Our dude is really trying to have another dinner date
with her. Well looks like 3rd times the charm! Dinner party with the
perfect voice studio crew at his place. Sounds like crazy fun already. 😂

Episode 8:
Oh, my goodness! And just like that they’re official. 😍My dude really asked her to be his
girlfriend and went straight back to cooking. LOL. He truly means it when he
says he’s a simple guy. I think it was nice he informed her about his family
background and their busy schedules before asking her to be his girlfriend. Although
she’s always nervous around him, I’m glad she mustered up the courage to
question the quick progress of their relationship. I still think it’s quite
fast as well but MQC has the confident, reassuring aura that makes it
plausible. Of course, they both do like each other so logically this works. If
she didn’t, this sweet moment would have gone sour/awkward real quick. 😂
The train ride. I’ve had my fair share of riding in a
packed subway but did anyone else feel claustrophobic? 😅With the close proximity and whispery
conversations, it was kind of awkward to watch them. However, for only 2 hours
of dating, I’d expect it. Gu Sheng and Mo Qing Cheng seemingly are introverts
who are new to dating. This is probably as real as it can get to depict 2
introverts dating. 😊
I guess cupid’s arrow really hit Zhou Zheng. 1
unintentional date and now he’s making “accidental” texts & trying to meet
up with Geng Xiaoxing. LOL. Maybe, MQC can help him with the casual stunts?
I’m starting to really enjoy the voice acting aspect
of this drama. The character, Mo Qing Cheng, is an amazing professional voice
actor. The way he instantly changed between emotions to naturally deliver those
lines were brilliant. I was fangirling just as hard as Gu Sheng and her roomies
lol. I sat there in awe the whole time. Props to Tan Jianci for portraying this
part very well. I can’t get enough of it.
*Note*: The friend group is hilarious. I love how supportive yet nosy they are with the leads relationship. 😂 It’s so accurate. But he cooked all of the dishes that they’ve been sharing with each other. *whew* what can this man not do?!

Episode 9:
The surprise performance at the end of the voice
competition was amazing! I felt like I was actually watching the LIVE program
with them.
Zhou Zheng is one of those awkward yet adorable dudes
who act cool but is internally a hot mess. What a polar opposite from MQC.
Haha. I wonder how he’ll be like pursuing Geng Xiaoxing.
I have no idea how MQC does it. His schedule is
already so busy with his other main duties yet he found time to visit Gu Sheng on
campus. Does he ever sleep? Lol. Jk It’s good to see that he’s proactively
making time & wanting to learn more about her. The professor calling them
out in class threw me off. 😂.
I’d be so embarrassed.
The visit to her recording studio had me dying of
laughter. Both leads have such good group of friends. I respect her guy friend,
Off Key, for being a protective friend who supports Gu Sheng. I just find it
funny that no one knows he’s Qiang Qing Ci so they kept throwing him shade
because they ship her with QQC. But now they really like the “new” guy because
he’s a good guy and can cook bomb food. I can’t wait until they all find out
haha. On the bright side, MQC is getting along quite well with them too. 🥰

Episode 10:
Gu Sheng’s friends were pressing hard during truth or
dare. 😂It was some next level nosy! Haha. Luckily,
we were graced with Tan Jianci’s beautiful voice. I wish there was a full
version of him singing it. I could literally fall asleep to it.
“Whether it’s Qiang Qing Ci or Mo Qing Cheng, I am
serious.” Oh, my goodness! 😍My
inner girly. Lol. Mo Qing Cheng’s reassurance is always consistently the best
for someone like Gu Sheng. I can relate with Gu Sheng because I’m always
thinking about the worst-case scenario 😅.
Their awkward slow burn romance doesn’t feel painful to watch. I like that Gu
Sheng is starting to feel comfortable and openly express her thoughts to clear
up any misunderstandings. And Mo Qing Cheng being the patient carefree person he
is makes her feel at ease. Please let this healthy communication continue.
I’m so excited Gu Sheng’s roommates know about her
relationship. Literal girly goals. I may or may have not jump for joy with
them. 😆
Zhou Zheng is making progress. I just wasn’t expecting
him to share the bed. Haha. I love the bromance in this. They’re so casual
about everything. It’s a good thing he’s asking MQC for advice. It may help to
calm his nerves.
Our doctor Mo is now the patient. It’s not a sweet
fluff drama if one of the leads aren’t taking care of the other, right? Hehe.
He was so happy to see her show up. Even when he’s sick he’s watching out for
her. Gu Sheng is so real for staying to accompany him but happily indulging in
the snacks.

Episode 11:
Well, *cricket* *cricket* I thought Zhou Zheng left
the house too. HAHA! Poor Gu Sheng with the instant embarrassment. But I like
these 2 together. Basically, they’re Mo Qing Cheng’s children. The struggles of
cooking they went through had me rolling. It was nice of Zhou Zheng to console
Gu Sheng and give her advice on the negative comments.
But seriously, why do I feel just like Zhou Zheng with
the major 3rd wheel vibes. Mo Qing Cheng and his smooth one liner
always got me like this 🫣.
Lol.
I was worried her food wasn’t going to taste good for a comedy bit but good the
thing the story did not go there. I now want to try the new food item. 🤤
The one liner was smooth, the food was good, but the
time alone got awkward real quick. 😅All
this time we’ve seen Gu Sheng being awkward. Now, Mo Qing Cheng is a nervous
wreck. He beckons for the single gang to give him ideas for dates which go in a
hilarious complete failure. I love his friends. They’re so openly rowdy and fun
with each other. Double the bonus for awkward level with them watching “Put
Your Head on My Shoulder” iconic kiss scene come on TV. 😂
They run into dad at the moon cake shop. I wonder what
Dad will say to Mo Qing Cheng.

Episode 12:
A successful conversation with Dad, Dr. Mo. 😂 I instantly knew her dad was going
to approach and recognize Mo Qing Cheng as the doctor. Gu Sheng got lucky for
that one. Even after dad left, they were reluctant to part. When she snuck back
to go find him, Mo Qingcheng’s smile was so contagious. They’re so cute for
this.
What a surprise! Sheng Sheng’s friend Off-key is
auditioning for Mo Qing Cheng’s studio. I can’t remember if we were formally
introduced to Feng Ya Song but I know he’s been mentioned before. Any who, his
excitement over Off-key being a fan was adorable. And if I was Off-key, I would
have been freaking out if my idol called me to tell me I would be working in
their company. He was way more professional than I would. Haha.
I love me a lowkey petty Mo Qing Cheng. The
supermarket scene had me laughing so hard. He was countering all the ladies who
were trying to advance on him. He even bought more radishes to nonchalantly
praise them after Ling Long claimed it wasn’t good enough. I don’t think you’ll
have to worry about being jealous, Gu Sheng. Lol. It should be Mo Qing Cheng
who will have to worry about Gu Sheng’s 5 brothers. 😂Cue the over protective brothers who
will question everything down to the core. It’s nice they care for her but
gramps is right. Let our girl have a little freedom. Grandpa’s love story was
the funniest yet cutest little story ever. The chances of that happening is so
slim.
A highlight is Gu Sheng calling Mo Qing Cheng “Uncle”
to avoid suspicion. LMAO! How did we go from mei mei to shu shu? 🤣🤣

Episode 13:
A wholesome healthy work environment. Perfect voice
studio treats their employees right and it’s a blessing to work in a company
like theirs. Off-key is in a good place. They were welcoming and didn’t make
anything feel awkward. Those who struggle with you at the bottom to get to the
top, truly deserves your time and energy. Mo Qing Cheng and the gang are real
for this.
Mo Qing Cheng proactively wants to improve himself and
be a good boyfriend. I love how organic the progress of their relationship is.
He takes the time to learn more about her and wants her to know more about him.
He’s 29 and she’s 22. The question I’ve been lowkey wondering about. Lol. And
this may not matter but our sweet boy is a Sagittarius and she’s a Pisces. She
likes green and he likes blue. What are the chances they’re wearing the same
colors. With his constant reassurance, I hope she can become more comfortably
open with him.
And finally! All of her friends know she’s dating
Qiang Qing Ci. I had such a fun time seeing them conflicted on who to choose
for Gu Sheng. Lol

This episode is a tribute to Juemei and his awkwardly,
hilarious desperate measures to pursue Geng Xiaoxing. 🤣 It’s so cute how everyone’s helping
him with his pleas. He’s obviously fallen for her hard. I only wish they showed
us a bit more to understand how he fell for her but it’s ok. There’s plenty of
fluff to go around. We’ll have to thank Juemei later for planning such a big
trip to “help” our leads spend more time together. Hehe.
*Whew* it’s never one easy feat trying to discuss with
Gu Sheng’s 5 guy cousins. Good thing grandpa’s always there to neutralize it. I
can’t wait to see their first big trip together. I’m definitely expecting some
cute moments.

If you have not given any of the OSTs a listen, get on it! It's been such a long time since I've absolutely adored all of the songs in a drama. There are a total of 13 OSTs. Only 7 have been released but 3 of the songs are sung by Tan Jianci! What can he not do?! Currently, I'm obsessed with "Slowly", "Wintersweet, & "Gold Wind Jade Dew". I'll have to update when all of the songs are released. WARNING: You may end up falling asleep to the songs. They're literally some of the most soothing & relaxing songs that fit well with the drama. Happy listening!
