Immortal arc is here!
LOL. What a way to end this week of heavy, emotional rollercoaster, tear
jerking, tissue wiping episodes. I didn’t know if I should laugh or not. It was
the most light hearted episode I’ve seen in a while. This episode is another calm
before the storm.
Li Susu has returned and
her memories are still intact but everyone else in the immortal realm from the
beginning has no clue. Which as she says so herself makes sense because the
Devil God incident never occurred since she stopped it. I did feel relieved
for Susu when she excitedly saw her father again. But our poor girl has to keep
another identity of hers a secret again. She’s definitely learned a lot from
500 years ago but I guess some things never change. Her listening to the story
teller talk about Tantai Jin made me laugh a little. Her mouth says she don’t
want to remember him but her heart says otherwise. (Who could forget such a
face as Luo Yunxi 😏
haha jk!) She goes back to focus on
cultivating and chooses the heartless route but let’s hope Uncle Zhao You helps
us with a different plan for our girl. 😂 Speaking of Master Zhaoyou, he is
hilarious! I’m so glad he was the one to save Tantai Jin from the Ruo river. He’s
definitely going to be an essential character for Tantai Jin’s development in
the immortal arc.
Tantai Jin having never
really been dead still retains all his memories and hasn’t stopped his search
for YXW. But let the foreshadowing begin again everyone! It seems the demon
lord’s crossbow used in the beginning when he wipes out the immortal sect, is
now a part of Tantai Jin. And if his 2 sidekicks are still out to revive him,
it’s not looking so good. 😟
I will have to say the part
I enjoyed the most out of this episode is the reunions that no one else knows
beside Susu and TTJ! Li Susu is reunited with Yue Ya, the little girl who she
rescued from the barren abyss when she met Ji Ze the first time. They hinted to
us she’ll be back but now that she’s here, I wonder what her significance will
be. BEST reunion is Xiao Lin!!! a.k.a Gong Ye Ji Wu. When Tantai Jin saw him
and flashbacked to their brotherhood, I started tearing up. They just had to
share that letter again. 😢
My bromance duo is back!
Not only do we see these
2 bro’s reunite, another bro duo still remained. Pang Yizhi is technically
still here too! Xiao Lin doesn’t have his memories anymore since he actually
died in the mortal realm; However, we come to learn PYZ was successful in
reviving Xiao Lin since GYJW says he was adopted by the Immortal Buxu. Ya’ll
tell me why I already had an inkling that the Immortal Buxu who asked for the
Master to go fetch Tantai Jin from the river, was Pang Yizhi. All of what he’s
done, mentioned by everyone, sounded just like things PYZ would do. His death
was quite anticlimactic though. I just love that even after death he’s a cloud
that’s still maintained his sass! 🤣🤣
Classic PYZ. I couldn’t help it when he denied Tantai Jin’s question.
It seems like Tantai Jin
staying at the Xiaoyao Sect will be a good thing. It’s so nice to see everyone
there being friendly to him. Not to mention, seems like Master Zhaoyou might
even become like a father figure to him. *crosses finger*. I like the new name
given to him. It sounds so beautiful, Cang Jiumin. Welcome! There’s more depth
to that name and I’m excited to find out. He’s hopeful staying there will help
him find Ye Xiwu but little do you know how close you guys are to each other. Looking
forward to the biggest reunion, Li Susu and Cang Jiumin! 🥳
