Enough with Tantai Jin, Ye Xiwu, and Ye Bingchang today. Main focus for me today is Xiao Lin. We haven't gotten much of him but I love the consistency of his character. The other 3 being grey characters have pulled my feelings into different directions but Xiao Lin oh Xiao Lin. Maybe it's because we don't get enough of him so it’s easier to say but I love that he's quick and intelligent. The conversation he has with Xiwu in prison oh goodness. Even knowing the trap, he walked right into it for the better of his people. When he asked Ye Xiwu about her identity it got to me. I don’t know why. I won't be ready for Ep. 25. 😢 The fact that he knows there must be a greater purpose for Ye Xi Wu’s identity but still decides to keep quiet. We don’t deserve him. And Ye Bingchang definitely DOES NOT deserve him. In the beginning of the episode, we continue off with the huge confession/exposure of Ye Bingchang and yet there we saw Xiao Lin crying silently as he hears the ugly truth. If not for the magic used on him to silence his voice, Xiao Lin would have definitely said something. Ughh my heart. This woman has been a pain to watch. Her insecurities are getting the best of her.
Luckily, Pian Ran can finally have closure about her lover and start a fresh with Ye Qingyu. They honestly have such good chemistry. It was sweet of Ye Qingyu to accompany her after Ye Bingchang’s confession. Boo! To YBC for stealing Pian Ran’s love threads but YAY! For TTJ taking it back for Pian Ran. He also secretly found Jiang Rao’s burial site. Their storyline is simple but the sweetest.
Ok I guess I’ll mention some points of our other main characters. Ye Bingchang bless her heart. She got what she deserved after all. Ye Qingyu was right for stopping Xiwu from trying to protect Bingchang as she thought Tantai Jin was going to kill Bingchang. But then again, why is Ye Xiwu trying to protect Ye Bingchang at all throughout this episode?! Is it out of pity? She clearly has shown all of you her true colors. Even when she returns to the Ye mansion for a few days she acts highly again in front of you despite being punished to be a maid servant. You can forgive but don’t forget Ye Xiwu. And worse yet, she’s out to get the grandma. Smh. The grandma was one of the few people partial to you, Bingchang. What a disaster this has become.
Tantai Jin and Ye Xiwu have upgraded and are sharing a bed! 😍 Well at least this is the first time we see it ever since the dream arc. They both are troubled in their own thoughts but Tantai Jin is heavily impacted after realizing the depth of a love thread. He questions his emotions and behavior due to not having one and even though she agrees, Xiwu doesn’t hesitate to take this time and cuddle Tantai Jin to sleep. However, the biggest trouble now is Xiwu trying to drug Tantai Jin in attempt to help Xiao Lin escape prison. What is even going on anymore?! Why must these 2 be so sweet yet conflicting to watch? 😪 I watched the preview for Episode 25 and well let’s prepare the tissue boxes everyone. 🤧 The angst is coming and it won’t be ending anytime soon.
