Nope! Just nope! I could not hold it in for today. As I mentioned my main focus being on Xiao Lin for the last episode, today it’s even worse. All I can think about is how pain staking I’m affected by this character whose barely had much screen time to this mortal arc of the story.
I may have been gushing over Tantai Jin and Ye Xiwu for these past few episodes but today just like they have been, I have changed my opinions. They really annoyed me today as our misunderstanding box is still open with a dash of over assumptions. I’m so over it. Yes. Tantai Jin found out the porridge was drugged but he went about it the wrong way again. I know you must be feeling hurt and betrayed but it’s not going to help that you decide to communicate with her when she’s under your spell. If only you 2 could talk to each other like that without a spell.
What’s worse is how chaotic he acted with that voodoo looking doll. He let Xiwu continue her original plan to help XL escape but his reasoning was so childish. Did he really think she’d come back running to him for some loving after everyone despises her for her doings under the spell? She’s NOT Ye Bingchang.
Speaking of YBC, *insert TTJ eye roll* She’s got to be the shadiest person on the planet. She caused XL’s fate unintentionally, killed the Grandma, was shocked TTJ didn’t die from the porridge, and pretended to defend Xiwu. No freaking remorse at all. Are we sure she doesn’t have the evil bone instead? OoOo I swear!
I admire XL for never letting his guard down. He knew something was fishy when no one was after them and Xiwu was acting weird. Once again, consistency at its finest for his personality. It hurts to see that TTJ used Xiwu under the puppet spell to stab him. My heart broke so much when TTJ was reading XL’s letter. He called Tantai Jin brother. Oh my god. 😭 They don’t deserve Xiao Lin. Despite being stabbed by Xiwu, he protected her because he knew it wasn’t her doing it. I am going to miss this man’s intelligence and sensibility. He’s the only one who has any, anyways. It was his ultimate decision to sacrifice himself as he knew it would be never ending with him around. I can’t! Of all his losses, he still worried for YBC too. 😒
TTJ seemed like he realized his childish idea fucked up when XL killed himself. Him thinking Ye Xiwu wouldn’t come back because he made her killed her “beloved” 🙄Why do these 2 make my head hurt so much. You have FL whose been sheltered her whole life (immortal world) and ML who has no idea what emotions are and is just now learning. What a disastrous mix of immaturity. I’m being impatient lol but man, what these 2 will have to learn and go through with the consequences of their words and actions will be making me antsy. Ya’ll toxic but I’m here for it! LMAO. 🤣🤣
But even amongst the angst, I do have to commend Luo Yunxi’s acting in today’s episode. Just wow! I mean LYX nailed it! When he was asking Xiwu about the porridge that was super creepy. Even Ye Xiwu said she was afraid. But after he put her on the spell and was controlling her the obsession in his actions were chilling. Borderline psychotic if I’d say so myself. When they showed him smelling her hair, I got so freaked out. You go LYX! 😂
