Our man sent the gifts! What a lucky "maid servant" Ye Xiwu is. 😂 But our girl isn’t interested in material things. Take notes Tantai Jin! The best gift for Ye Xiwu is some quality time. I loved this scene for today! She was feeling homesick and reminisced the old times of stargazing with fireflies around. Low and behold, Tantai Jin summoned fireflies to illuminate the night sky. Oh my goodness. 😍Why are these 2 playing with our hearts?! Such a wholesome scene. On top of that, he grants her permission to return home for her birthday and gifts her a star. Ya’ll he remembered her bday! This man is whipped. She happily agrees but quickly remembers to ask Tantai Jin to accompany her. My heart! He doesn’t go into the house with her but Xiwu running out of the house to hug him in the carriage after the conversation with her father and grandma about their mistreatment towards him in the past was too cute. Someone finally gave this boy a genuine hug! 🥹
Tantai Jin takes it to another level when he decides to take her to such a sacred place, the burial hall where his mom resides. I don’t know about you guys but that’s always top tier of approval for me when I see it in drama land. Taking someone to meet your parents is a big deal. I always feel a bit sentimental during those scenes and here you can see Tantai Jin is truly happy to bring Xiwu to see his mom. 🥹But despite the sentiments, this man has his own special way of being sentimental. Not at him asking Xiwu to choose where she wants to be buried 💀 but our girl is conflicted again. We get a reality check from Xiwu as she ponders about his affection and the claws (She has 3 currently). It’s getting kind of exhausting. There’s been lots of sweet moments but it pains to know she’s doing it purely for the claws. She’s unknowingly falling for him and ya’ll I don’t know if I’ll be ready for that particular scene. I’m glad she hasn’t forgotten but gosh darn it, I’m just as conflicted as her at this point. Luckily, she’s still gotten some tactics up her sleeve when she constantly sends letters to him at the battle camp ground. Poor bird! 😂
But whoo! That big fight scene between Xiao Lin and Tantai Jin. It was pure 🔥. When Tantai Jin showed up and the rings surfaced behind, what a vibe! That awesome aura came back from the 1st episode. I kind of miss it lol. And I think I might have a new ship. XL and TTJ gracefully fought making me wish we could get more of them 🤣🤣
It’s only a pity that XL had to even fight this battle because of his trash father. Filial piety at its finest even when he knows the result of the battle. I’m just so over this dang King. He is the epitome of pride and ego. And with the defeat, as XL expected, Ye Bingchang is ordered to return to Sheng kingdom. But she a snake for pretending to care but secretly is planning on dumping him since he’s "useless" now. 🙄 I will have to admit that I did tear up a little bit when she parted from Xiao Lin. I have no clue why lmao. I don’t like her character but man Chen Duling and Deng Wei cried so beautifully. Props to these 2 for getting to me even if I despise her character. But we get double episodes tomorrow so let’s see if it’ll be double the heart break!
