COMMENTARIES:
Episode 1:
Eyes really do speak volume for Lin Yi Yang. The
romance hit it right off the bat! Well, for Lin Yi Yang that is. The way he’s
mesmerized by Yin Guo can’t be denied with those stares. It was a great start
for a 1st episode. And I really do think the wintery theme has some
charm to it. Not only are we instantly seeing romance stir but the complexity
of Lin Yi Yang’s character isn’t one to be missed. I kind of like that we’re
being thrown into the beginning point of their relationship but in the middle
of Lin Yi Yang’s personal affairs. Once everything catches up to speed, I know
we’ll be in for a ride.
Episode 2:
Oh, my lord! If this episode has me lowkey sobbing
over their cuteness, I have no idea how I’ll handle the future episodes. The
biggest take away is the attentiveness of LYY for today. Lin Yi Yang our acts
of service boy!! LYY's attentiveness is unmatched. He helped her navigate the
subway after hearing her explain why she doesn't use it. Slowing down his
pacing so Yin Guo can catch up. Booking a spot for ramen after seeing her text
about being hungry. Moving her left & right so she won't fall onto the
steps hidden in snow. Why is he so stinking sweet & mindful! ❤️I'm sobbing at how
awkwardly cute they are. ππZhao
Jinmai's portrayal of shyness makes the interactions so adorable. We're just as
flustered as her. π
A highlight: those darn stares of his. Even in a room
full of people, his eyes are set on Yin Guo. As soon as the match ended, he
turned right around to find her. Oh, my goodness! π
Episode 3:
We’re getting more insights on Lin Yi Yang’s past and
finally meet his senior brother, Jiang Yang. Whatever complexity is coming our
way, I’m ready for it! I just knew Wu Lei wouldn’t pick a character without a
deeper complex side. Be it modern or historical, all of his characters always
have a deeper (sometimes darker) meaning to them. He really gets to know them
and become that character. I have no doubt he will be doing the same as Lin Yi
Yang. To see his ambitious younger self be determined to learn from a
well-known snooker player shows how interesting Lin Yi Yang will be. I can’t
wait to learn more.
As the episodes go on, I’m going to take a count for
all the mindful things he does for Yin Guo. This guy is smitten for our cute
gal. And with what seems like some past hurtful incidents, he really wants to
try and pursue her but treads carefully in fear of making a mistake. Which is
reasonable. They’re slowly grappling us in to the story with his careful
actions to pursue Yin Guo. He’s trying his best to be sincere and genuine
without going overboard. Let’s go Lin Yi Yang! π
Episode 4:
Hello Wang Xinyue! Haha. The last time I saw him was
in “One and Only”. If you watched it, then you know why it took me a while to
get over his character. The frustration was real. π
We only saw him for a few minutes but
wow! These boys in here really got the looks to play the mature part of their
characters. You couldn’t even tell he’s the same age as Zhao Jinmai. I’m
excited we finally get to see him. I’m looking forward to learning about his
relationship with Lin Yi Yang.
Wu Wei came in clutch taking the little cousin out to
the opera show. A true wingman right there! Lin Yi Yang and Yin Guo’s hotpot
dinner was adorable. Drunk Yin Guo cheering on Lin Yi Yang to pursue the crush
mentioned by Wu Wei on Weibo is gold. Little do you know; you’ve just
indirectly given him the green light. π
Episode 5:
Episode 6:
Whoo whee! That laundry room scene. Oh goodness! How can a phone conversation get me this excited?! Haha. Our 2 cute awkward introverts. It took a lot of courage out of LYY to ask Yin Guo but boy was that smooth. He didn’t hesitate one bit to let her know that he was trying to pursue her. Now she’s all flustered, he’s super nervous, everyone’s a hot mess. Audience included. π I’m just happy she knows his intentions & now things can be even more genuine.
Only these 2 could get me super giddy over conversations from the
opposite sides of a closed door. Not to mention, their lunch “date”. The
unintentional couple photo is so cute. What really got me was the tram scene.
They parted ways but he ran back to jump on her route in fear of her getting
lost. Acts of service continues! π
Luckily, trams are easier to navigate than the subway so he hops off the next
stop. My favorite part, she grabs his backpack string. It may be a small
gesture but I really liked how Yin Guo grabbed Lin Yi Yang's backpack string
before he got off the tram. She's hesitant but I like that she's trying to be
more proactive towards LYY. Even LYY was surprised by her action. It took a lot
of courage but I'm glad she went for it. For first timers, this is a great
start. Actions will definitely be speaking louder than words for these 2. ❤️
