Title: Suparburoot Jutathep (Gentlemen of Jutathep)
Broadcast Period: March 15th - July 7th, 2013
After 11 years, we’re finally getting part 2 for this
drama series. Today, I’ll be talking about a well-known beloved Thai drama that made
big buzz and how were now getting part 2.
Plot:
A five-part Thai drama series set in the 1960s based on the five brothers of
Jutathep palace raised by their 2 grandmothers after the death of their parents
from a car accident.
These brothers were born as Mom Rajawongse (M.R.). Which is a title given to the great grandchildren of the Thai King. You're no longer of royal status but it let's others know you are of royal bloodline. This background pushes the grandmothers to raise the well-known and well-educated men to be
gentlemen and good examples.
And even with such a status, the brothers have a
bigger responsibility to uphold: marriage. Before the car accident, their
father made a promise with a close friend and life saver, Tewapan Tewaprom. Basically, one
of his sons will marry one of the Tewaprom daughters when they get older. But as
fate would have it, love can’t be forced & each brother will find their
true loves not fulfilling the promise. Thus, bringing us part 2, Duang Jai
Tewaprom. Set 30 years in the future, it now focuses on the sons of these
brothers & how their love stories will get intertwined with the daughters
of the Tewaprom ladies.

A special note/tribute after watching the 1st episode of Laorchan:
It still feels surreal to say the least that
season 2 of the Suparburoot Jutathep series is finally airing. 11 years later
and so much has changed but the Jutathep family vibes between the brothers
still feel the same. I was instantly taken back to the 1st time I
saw the gates of the Jutathep palace in Khun Chai Tharatorn. I was only a
teenager when the show aired but it had such a huge impact on me. I vividly
remember spending my entire Spring of 2013 waking up early every weekend to
watch the latest episodes and chatting away with my sisters and online drama friends. It was the most
eventful 4-5 months I ever spent on a Thai drama series. There was so much love
between these brothers that transcended between each part. Now, 11 years later,
their sons have assumed the position and I look forward to seeing this bond
continue to spread through the Jutathep family. Thank you Ch3 for bringing back
one of my all-time favorite Thai Lakorn families. I’m ready to spend another
4-5 months chatting away! ❤ ️
